first, its a nighttime game. the daylight lighting is just much better in this game, as can be see from the direct feed unatered gameplay footage. not only the lighting on the players themselves, but with the nice shadows and such.
second, its at Shea. Shea was one of the worst looking stadiums in 2k6 and appears to be in 2k7. The field just looks worse than almost every other stadium weve seen in videos. Some of its the ground texture, some of its the background... etc.
third, theres no wind. Ok theres not always going to be wind, but the wind makes the game look better because it gets subtle movements in the uniforms and makes them look more more like cloth rather than very still motionless models they look like without wind when the players are in their stance.
and finally.. the shrunk down play of the day videos just hide some jaggies. obviously that doesnt help anything, just saying.

look at the lighting in this pic from a daytime vid. light on his back, shadows on the other side, nice soft shadow on the ground... all stuff thats not in the night lighting system, which just has general shadows without a clear lightsource. which is correct, thats what stadium lights do.
not to mention the grass/dirt/background is much much nicer in comerica.
now obviously if you play franchise games, most of them are going to be at night so the demo is representative of that lighting. but im just saying, these are the reasons its not as impressive as many of the videos weve seen to some.
thankfully i play 95% online and will just just park/time accordingly.
and no im not saying the game is ugly in the demo, it still looks good. just not as nice.
p.s., i know not everyone is complaining about the graphics in it and many are saying it looks great. but accross several forums ive seen complaints and just wanted to get those 3 points out there.
