"We put all of our hard work and effort into the 360's awesome hardware abilities, so the game for the regular X-box will be a roster update, and an extra helping of suck".

Re: To End the xbox confusion...
All while raising the price $10 from what we originally posted. Unless the reviews from the few that actually purchase this version tell me otherwise, I'm staying away from this disappointment. Guess I'll have get an old version of High Heat or MVP updated and going.Comment

Trust me, they have a good idea of how many people are still using and buying games for the original Xbox.Comment

Re: To End the xbox confusion...
Man, I hope I am wrong too.... I have been playing the heck out of MVP05, and was really psyched to see that Brinkman had been added to the roster over at 2K, and that he was going to bring some of the MVP sparkle to the train wreck that was 2k6's horrid offering.
Upon seeing the vidoes and the POTD's that are all over the place, I can certainly see some of his direction shine through. But, that is for the 360 version....
I hope that we old X-box'ers were not foresaken, but with statements like the post above, I have to assume we are on our own for this year.
I have watched the videos of the 360 offering for this year, and I will come right out and say that at least from the videos I have seen on IGN and the like, I am jealous that the 360'ers get such an awesome display of hardware power and a game that just shines.... But remember fellas, beauty is only skin deep. Until the verdict is levied on the gameplay itself, the animations, the throwing mechanics, and until someone can confirm that we, as the user, have anything to do with thrown balls as far as being on target or offline, I will wait before passing judgement.
It seems silly to me that a game of this caliber, and with this much horsepower to not have a user-controlled throwing system is absurd. So you press the corresponding base button, and whatever happens happens?? I hope to hell this is not how they released this new game.
If there is one thing that 2k has taught us in their history,
You can paint a turd with pretty colors, but it's still a piece of s***
Let's hope this is the game everyone has been hoping for.

Re: To End the xbox confusion...
You should've known that developers wouldn't be focusing on the xbox when microsoft announced that they were stopping the support. I don't get what you're getting angry about when it should've been clear how the game was going to be. The 360 really isn't that expensive, if you wanted the game that bad you should've bought one.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: To End the xbox confusion...
Gee, I did not notice anyone getting angry, I thought it was a thread about:
A: would the old x-box even get a game?
b: if so, would that version of the game get a few of the tweaks that has everyone so excited about the 360 version?
No skin off my teeth if the game does indeed suck for the old x-box, I can play MVP until my X-box finally gives up the ship, and then spring for the 360
No anger bro, just discussion.

Re: To End the xbox confusion...
Aw man, this finally answers my question on whether or not they tweaked the Xbox version. Oh well, no use in me forking over the $30 or so for another glitch-riddled copy of MLB 2K6 with the 2007 rosters and schedule.Comment
