Is the hitting engine Zone Style or MVP Style?

As in, does aiming (left of right) influence the ball in that direction like MVP, or is timing the only apparent factor in which direction the balls goes like zone hitting. In zone hitting the direction only effected if you made contact and how well the contact was. In MVP the direction actually made the ball travel more in that direction that it would otherwise (hold down, more ground balls, etc). I was wondering because mostly I want to know if the classic hitting is zone hitting or MVP style hitting. I also just want to know. I just think stick hitting might be a little complicated online adjusting to the timing if there is any lag.
