Finally solved the double switch dilema !!!

Dont know if its true for the retail version , but the double switch is broken (once again) in the demo version. It just doesnt let you keep the PH in the game when you selct the double switch option.

But I figured out it still works if you do it manually and DONT use the double switch option. Instead select "nothing" when the inning ends as normal but go to "defensive subs" instead of "double switch" to make the change.

example: Im the Cards. Wilson batting 2rd makes the last out of the inning. I previously PH the 9 spot with Duncan. I want to leave Duncan in to play left and put the pitcher in Wilsons spot.

Select "nothing" at the end of the inning.

    Go to "devensive subs" .

Change Duncan(P) with Wilson(LF). And sub the pither you want in for Wilson.

And it sticks. Its actually quicker and easier than the way they try and make the "double switch" option work. This couldnt have been possible in previous years could it? And we never figured it out... na

So if its broke in the retail version. Its really not.

Yup. I was going to post this somewhere too, but it seemed too complicated to for me to describe, but it works. It just takes a little bit longer to do than it should.

It was possible last year. That was the only way I could figure out to pull the double switch.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
        Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

Actually I think its faster than the double switch system. Less button pushes even. They should just delete that option now and let it be manual.

The only reason we needed the double switch option is because you couldnt change a pitchers position in the past. Now that you can we dont need the "double switch" option.

Atleast I think we couldnt change the pitchers postion before. If we could and we never caught on after all these years shame on us. But I doubt that. I know I tried it this way in the past and it wasnt possible.

But, if the computer teams do not use it, it's still considered broken in my book.

This didn't work on 2K6 (Xbox), so I assumed that it wouldn't work this year.

Oh well... it's a workaround for now, but I most certainly expect them to fix this by next year.

This switches their place in the batting order also? From what it sounds like, it just switches their positions.

you are replacing the person who was put in the "pitcher" position.. Tucker PH for Bradford.. after hitting "nothing" when the screen came up.. I switched Tucker's & Chavez's positions on the screen & put the pitcher in for Chavez - Tucker stayed in as the LF
