Wii Baseball ‘demo’ vs. MLB 2K7 demo

Two vastly different baseball games, both demos, with the Wii
being more of a technical demonstration rather than a final
retail product. The premise for comparison – Wii Baseball
for now is simply more FUN to play. I love 2K7’s improved
pitching-it’s going to be really fun trying to pitch that perfect
game. Mind you winding up to dish a 94mph fastball with
the Wii-mote is greatly satisfying. But then again so is
cranking out a monster homerun or a shot just inside
the foul pole in Wii Baseball-it’s awesome-but the hitting
in 2K7 seems awkward-classic or swing stick? Both pale
in comparison to the real time movement found with
the Wii. If 2K could have the Wii hitting system damn
would be money for sure. As for the fielding, it’s
non-existent in Wii Baseball as the demo is reserved
solely for pitching and hitting, even base-running is
AI driven. Mind you, 2K7’s fielding in the outfield
    is incredibly disconnected.

I am going to explore the nuances of fielding again
as well as hitting but my first out of box impression
for MLB is that it’s not too fun, and not worthy of
a purchase, at least not yet.

i think we can all agree that the wii has an experience that is unique and satisfying...you can't duplicate it on any other system, so the comparison isn't exactly fair

no your right..we cant compare the two. For the hardcore/sim enthusist, MLB2k7 is by far the choice to go with. Wii games..while fun with friends, just doesnt fit my taste buds quite right.

I tend to put quite a few hours into baseball games, and i just couldnt see myself standing and waving my arms for 5 games in a row... Though i love the concept, i just prefer the controler.
