360 retail ver. vs. demo- stadium graphic question
Of those of you that have the game, does the 360 retail version stadiums look better than the demo? I was really disappointed with the demo ver of Shea. I was looking forward to the same graphics we saw in the IGN videos. Yes I do have a HDTV. The players looked great but looked ‘dropped in’ to largely last years stadium graphics. I HOPE this is for demo size. I looked up all those old videos of the last few months and places like Pac Bell, Detroit and screenshots of other places look really spectacular. Though the video from IGN Yankees vs. Mets, Shea does look kind of bland. Is this what to expect from the game? If so, it looks fine, just was looking forward to more I guess. I pick mine up after work today.

mine looks gr8 on my 19 inch wide screen monitor...looks just as i imagine it would from wacthing every video...offcourse i think a twilight game will look a lot nicer due to the lighting progression.
and ddhex27, nope m8...every video taht you see self shadowing is from the 360 version. sully has the ps3 retail version and he confirmed that theres no self shadowing in it. not that big of a deal...but just proves that a lot of the videos were from the 360 version..including the POTD ...you can also simply check the buttons that show up when the user was picthing. y, a, b and x.....---------------

Re: 360 retail ver. vs. demo- stadium graphic question
I've got a great TV, 56in 1080p (see sig), and while I am impressed with the player models and up close shots, the stadiums, lighting and colors are all subpar. The coloring/lighting for me is probably the biggest issue. The colors look phony, and kind of "pastel". I was underwhelmed with the visuals of this game. I was not blown away like I thought I would be.
I am really thinking that the demo couldn't have been in a proper resolution or something. I noticed that the text didn't look all that sharp, and the loading screens looked kinda meh and washed out, not bright and eye-popping like other games do. I just dont like it. I hope that things are a lot different on the retail version, but I don't think they will be.Comment

Re: 360 retail ver. vs. demo- stadium graphic question
Have you adjusted your TV settings at all. I am only saying this because in both BB games from 2k their colors need to be toned down. Verytime I switch to lay them I turn the color down a little and it looks a lot more realistic. I haven't see nt he game on my TV yet. Just going by the other 2k games i have.Comment

Re: 360 retail ver. vs. demo- stadium graphic question
This game looks much better IMO in the retail version vs the Demo!!!!!
I'm very please now! I'm only in my first game at PNC aprk against the Padres with the throw back unis. They added even more unis than last year too. Tha geam in the day at PNC park is very sharp and just looks amazing! The crowd looks better and you will see a bunch more animations than what the demo has to offer. I have a Sony XBR800 CRT HDTV and the 360 and I can't complain at all!Comment

Re: 360 retail ver. vs. demo- stadium graphic question
Haven't adjusted my picture settings yet, but that will have to be the next step. I have NBA 2k7, and while i haven't played it that much, I thought the colors were okay from what little I saw. I will mess around with it a bit when I get home. Looks like I might to have a particular color setting just for MLB 2k7. If it works, it would be worth it though.Comment

Re: 360 retail ver. vs. demo- stadium graphic question
The loading screen does not show up on the retail version! At least not threw 5 innings of play. There are alot more highlights and replays in the retail version. Maybe that is what the loading screen was doing by skipping all of those?
Edit: I did see the loading screen once so far... It must just be something that may happen if you try to bypass all of the annimations or something.Last edited by Blitzburgh; 02-27-2007, 01:27 PM.Comment
