I'm playing on an old standard definition TV, on PS3, and not only does EVERY cutscene slow to a crawl (nothing more fun that seeing the crowd clapping in slow motion), but during the game the top and bottom of the screen is cut off so that I can't see the score (this has not been the case for any other games I have). What the heck is going on?

I have a 360, and the same problemis happening to me as well. They should have lowered thescoreboard just incase people are playing on Standard Definition.S E A N N y T -

Did they test this game at all on anything other than a 100' HDTV? This is absolutely ridiculous - I can't see the score, inning, or count at any time during a game. Loading screens after every other play, which don't seem to be actually loading anything, and then cutscenes that slow to a crawl all the time.
Methinks I'll be taking this back to the store.Comment

no, i cannot see anything either on my SD TV. THese people must think everyone has or can afford a HDTV...well guess what..NOT EVERYONE CAN!..They (Sony) seemed to think that it was 'OK' to package standard cables in with their PS3's so we can use with our SD tv's...wtf? Why are they so cheap?..and stupid.Comment

I really don't think it's Sony's fault. Apart from hard to read text, all my other games work just fine on my SDTV.
But that's the end of this game for me if this is a permanent issue. I just can't believe the boneheaded flaws I'm finding - it's got so many strong points but this stuff like the online rosters being bugged just makes you wonder if the developers literally are all idiots.Comment

I have a small television and no problems with screen layout.
