Cubs jersey numbers and a quick question!

I'd just like to say that for the first time since I can remember, a video game has the Cubs jersey numbers correct! 2K was even ahead of me in noticing that the Cubs have the names on the back of the jerseys again this year, so my hat's off to them in this aspect. MVP 2005 had the Cubs jersey numbers right but didn't have a red outline. I've never understood why no one could EVER get it right, but finally someone did. Its about time!

Oh and as for the gameplay (in particular batting). When I swing with classic hitting what determines where the ball goes? Can I only influence it going in the air or on the ground or can I pull the ball/go opposite field as well? Basically is hitting with classic controls like MVP's hitting engine?

you can pull the ball or go opposite field in classic swing. Pretty similar to MVP.

So basically I need to hit the ball where it is placed? If the ball is thrown down and away (to a right handed batter) and I swing to pull a home run I'll just hit a dribbler to the first baseman?

I am not sure what the consequences are if you do that. From the games I have played I seemed to miss the ball completely when I did that. Not sure if my timing was off or because I was aiming in the wrong location. I have hit some good gappers by pressing the stick towards the 1 or 2 o'clock position (right handed batter)

well i was trying this atm...and most of the time a got ground foul balls to the first basemans direction. which was a good thing i guess, as i was lacking in seeing foul balls.

They managed to get the jersey numbers right but no bleachers in the outfield? Are you joking?

I noticed that, Im not complaining, because Wrigley does look really nice in the game, and the neighborhood looks great. I laugh when I look and see seats out on the "bleachers"
