Check Swing?

How do you check swing? I have an old habit from the MVP days where I tap X no matter what every pitch and simply let go real quick if its a ball and check swing. However even a tap in 2k7 and you get a full swing. I managed to check swing once but I'm not sure what I did.

Anybody know how? ps3

I managed once... you have to really, REALLY lightly tap the x button to make sure you don't swing. Just in general don't mash the button really hard when you do a regular swing, and that way when you hold up you'll likely do the very light tap that's neccesary to ensure a check swing.

Sadly the one time I did check swing it was a called strike three. I struck out yet was celebrating because I finally figured out how to check swing ;-)

Yes, they are in.I have had more than a few and they go both ways.

A fellow on another board said that pulling "right trigger" quickly after pressing the swing button does the trick. I haven't tried this myself though. So I can't vouch.

its the same as in 2k6, you have to be ready to let off the a button before you really committ to pressing it to long, to see how its done just try lightly tapping the a button to just see if you can check swing, you can't always do it, kind of a fel thing.

Ive been able to check my swings occasionally, but not every time I want to. You have to have tapped the A button really, really lightly, or it goes the whole swing. I guess it's supposed to be as difficult as it is in real life.
