    Budgets

so I am at work, and is it true, if you upload the xbox live roster or manually update the out of the box rosters, all of the salaries go to 1/10 of their values? Then, when you go to resign players, they ask for full asking price, so it makes it impossible to sign anyone? My question is, is there a fix for this, or can you just turn off the budgets?

Well, if this is the reason why no free agents are signed, then it's actually a GREAT development, because this one should be easily fixable by a patch.

I thought the CPU signing no free agents happened w/ or w/o the downloaded rosters.

        Re: Budgets

I was told that the mess up with the salaries only happened with the downloaded rosters not with the stock rosters out of the box, making no difference if the rosters had been altered in anyway. I havent had a chance to get in depth yet but this is what Ive heard atleast. So the problem of teams not resigning players will happen with either set of rosters. Im curious to know, when you turn injuries off, that makes it so players arent sent down and then never called back up when they are healthy thus leaving them in the minors, will this possibly curtail the teams not resigning their players? The way I see it, if they have a superstar in the minors that they arent bringing up then it doesnt make much financial sense to keep paying them tons of money to play in the minors, but this probably wont fix the problem of players sitting in free agency and not getting resigned at all.

So it sounds as if the lack of free agent signing may be just tied to the latest roster update and that the next installment, plus a patch, should solve the problem.

Actually you still make a normal amount of money. For example my budget is only $30 million but after a week or so I've already made $10 million. My expected PROFIT is estimated at 1.5 billion dollars I believe.

So after the season, I will have plenty of money to sign free agents.

Many people on other boards have reported that they have simulated through multiple seasons using the stock rosters only to have players sitting in free agency that arent asking for much money and teams still arent signing them. I really hope this gets fixed, but I think its only going to get fixed if they patch the game itself.

Guys, let's check this out. Somebody turn off the budgets and see if the CPU signs marquee free agents...
