Good Lord, The pitching in this game rocks

I love the pitching engine they got going on in MLB2k7, i got the 360 version but im sure it the same on all versions. I love the pitching though.. when i get a K, i feel like i've earned it..working the corners, etc is a blast in its own.

Actually the entire game is a blast, it just flows so smoothly. Thats the key i think here... the game flows incredibly well, like NFL2k5 did. Did visual concepts work on this game with Kush? Seems that they did..im not sure though.

Anyways, im love'n this game..most fun i've ever had with a baseball videogame. Graphics are just flat out amazing. Like many have said, the demo just dont do this game justice..its much better in the retail version.

    I couldn't agree more
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Very good game: still too easy to spot pitches though. Pitchers have pinpoint control.

I do like the pitching. but I have noticed pitch spots don't seem to matter much. I always test baseball games by throwing fastballs down the middle of the plate (basically batting practice) and I honesty give up more runs spotting pitchs and changing speeds than throwing fb's down the middle. Did 4 games now and I gave up I think 7 runs throwing down the middle and on the same difficulty (all star) I give up more with changing pitches. Also barely any hrs are given up by throwing down the middle...Seems odd to me.

Yes, Visual Concepts did work on this game.

I'm not having too much luck. I've left the game in all it's defaults, tried both from the Batter's view and the Pitcher's. It seems the Computer hits everything. I've tried throwing out of the strike Zone, I've tried Inside, Over the plate, it puts everything in play and gets lots of hits. I've tried spotting the ball. I've just played with Schilling and the Sox so far but it seems If I try to throw too far out of the Zone I get alot of pitches to the Backstop. Can anyone give me some pointers ?

I agree about the pitching; it's immersive and very well done. It seems to be a really well-done blend of the digital pitcher's actual skill factoring in the human player's skill. They did an excellent job with the sig styles of the pitchers

I think it's easily the best pitching interace I've ever used in a video game. It gets intense in pressure situations, and your cursor is jumping all over the place. ! Love this game!

Make sure you're checking pitch breaks by holding down the right trigger before a pitch. Those breaks need to be taken into consideration when determining where to move the cursor.

I cut it off right there because that's the main reason.

On default All-Star the CPU does not miss pitches. You have to lower their contact, skill, and power ratings.

If you are playing on Pro then perhaps you are not charging up your pitch enough.

The less effort you put on a pitch the easier it is for the CPU to hit.

Come back with any glaring emissions.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Glad to hear you like it. I'm pulling an all nighter on sliders and am close to finding a solution. Already getting decent results. this game is immersive. More later.
