One thing they got 100% RIGHT in Franchise mode
Although I haven't seen any lineup glitches yet, I'm not doubting that I won't see them in the near future. But one thing they got absolutely down is the Franchise *Windows* interface. Wow, it is so clean and being able to access pretty much anything you need on that one screen is fantastic. Also having the 4 quadrants to access information is just a brilliant idea. I love the upper right quadrant that displays not only information about scores of other games but contract information as well as injury information. Kudos to 2k for nailing this aspect of the Franchise mode, a place where people will no doubt spend a ton of their time. To have it streamlined like it is now is something new and totally refreshing.Tags: None -

I have to agree. The menu system makes MUCH more sense than some "virtual office" concept that has been tried in the past by both 2kSports and EA.
One thing I wonder about though is the cost for IE reports. Roy Halladay costs 8 million dollars to scout? I hope when I was just glancing through I mistook a K for an M....
This kind of scouting is nothing new. I remember a story during the 2001 d-backs run about Schilling using a portable DVD player (hot stuff at the time) to watch custom made DVDs of every matchup he'd be facing that he had faced in the past.
I think the IE system is neat. But I also think the game should give some credit to the pitcher and catcher for being able to "learn." Charging in the millions for scouting reports seems WAY out of line with real world financials. -

agree 100%, 2ksports has had one of the worst franchise interfaces IMO for most of its games but this one is awesomeComment

How can you have all this info about the players in the buzz box, or be able to set-up your financials on one side and standings on the other w/o giving the user an option to show the league transactions?
It's almost as if they took this ability to veiw that info away so that we are ignorant to how stupid there CPU AI is with trading there players.
Soo many people have complained over the years about how many stupid trades occur so they probably just took the "leauge transactions" out so that we could not see all the stupid stuff going on. Like Albert Pujols being traded to the Mariners for Ben Broussard and a couple other bums ...
When would that ever happen?!
If you can tell me where I can veiw league transactions that would be great.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
