I posted this on 2ksports.com and I wanted to see what you guys thought as well.
I don't want this to be a 2k7 stadiums are horrible thread, I just want to see if people think like I am on this subject.
I think that the stadiums & surroundings did not get the attention I was ecpecting from some of the previews. I don't mean accuracy I mean poly's. I don't feel that looking at this game, (besides the obvious amazing player models and great presentation) that the game looks much different than last year.
I was really ecpecting the stadiums to come to life and look much more real, especially the buildings in the outfield view. I hate to say this but Madden has pretty nice (real) looking stadiums.
As good as the player models look, they are almost too good for the rest of the games graphics. They can at most times look out of place, kinda like they were cut out and pasted on a back ground that is far less quality.
When I play this game I love the way it plays (which is great) but while playing this great game all of the other visuals that don't live up to the player models make the games lasting appeal a little less for me.
I think next year if they give us PGR type buildings, Madden type stadium graphics, continue on tweaking gameplay, add a behind the fielder camera angle and an innovative way to catch fly balls (by looking up at the ball) then this will be the best baseball game anyone could ask for.
I would love to hear what you HDTV graphics freaks like me have to say. Thanks
