This game doesn’t appear to allow multiple fouls during an at bat

Right now I am getting used to the swing stick and prefer that
over the classic button pressing, for me, an analog approach to
directing the player is far superior and more rewarding than
mashing buttons. Mind you what I cannot do for now is really
have a long drawn out at bat-I have played Wii Baseball where
I keep on fouling off pitch after pitch, one at bat as long as 10+
fouls in a row before drilling a pitch down the gap for a double.
Wii Baseball is by no means ‘sim’ however why is it that I can
replicate a common event in baseball with this tech demo but
cannot for 2K7? I either strikeout or blast a HR. Any tips for
working the count or taking walks?

      I have not experienced this.

The left stick is used to "aim" your hit. So if you pull it to the left or right during your swing you'll notice that you are more likely to hit to that side of the field.

It is analog, so if you pull it all the way you can get basically force yourself to foul balls off. I've used it in 2 strike situations when the ball is close to the plate to stay in the box and it works fairly well.

The thing is, pros don't normally force themselves to foul balls off, unless they're in a defense mode in a 2-strike count and they're just trying to get a piece of the ball (which in that case they're still not trying to foul the ball off). If a righty pops one of those balls foul down the first base line, that indicates they were late. If they go down the third base line, they were early. If they pop it foul behind them, that means their timing was right, but their swing wasn't appropriate for the pitch (and they were under it). If they tip it, that means their swing was dead on, but they were just under it. Or the same could be said if they tap it foul tipping it just over the ball.

In any case, there's already a thread for this:

And there aren't any foul ball sliders.
