Does catcher attibutes matter for calling the game?

Just basing off my experiences from the demo pitching to LoDuca vs now in my fantasy draft pitching to chris ianetta, i keep hitting ianettas spots but often they are significantly out of the strike zone. Could be difficulty or sliders but it seemed like i was hitting better locations when duke was calling the shots. If this is the case that is actually a pretty cool idea to make certain catcher "intangibles" more valuable but i am wondering what attibute this would be.

There is a 'call game' rating for catchers. That's what it is.

I LOVE this feature! I am the Tigers, and Pudge is a flat out stud at calling games. I very rarely go against what he wants...and it has been working out quite nicely!

well thats strange cause at the gamspot demo show, brinkman said that the cacthers call the game based on the PICTHERs data theyve recorded...like in a specific situation pichter X is more prolly to throw Y picth. thats what he said.

Right...and how good your catcher is determines how effective he is at using that data. Pretty simple.

the one annoying thing is the catcher continually asking for 3-0 fastballs right down the middle against people like manny or ortiz or pujols. Unless its bases loaded and im up by one run or tie game i am going to pitch around a great hitter down 3-0, not a big deal just something i noticed. This also would make sense why i am having a harder time pitching to ianetta then i was to the duke in the demo.

You can move the catcher's target with the right stick if youre not happy with it.

which is what i have been doing, like i said its not a big deal and easy enough to fix, just seems silly to me b/c no catcher would ask you to groove a 3-0 meatball to manny.

dont know if you guys noticed, but same thing happens when we get the 3-0 count..the cpu picther AWAYS throw a picth right down the middle.

(thats beein from playing the demo only)
