    Classic hitting question...please help

I just read in another forum that you can disable influencing the ball with the left stick in the options(for classic hitting). Is this true? I can't seem to find the slider that does this. I want my hitting to be based purely on timing take the use of the left stick out of play. Any advice?

Yeah...don't use the left stick.

To answer your question though, no, I've not seen any setting that indicates you can turn off the left stick while using classic hitting. Seriously though - if you don't want to use it, just don't use it.

Thanks for the reply..but is it possible to become a good hitter without using the left stick?

You will need a hammer and a hard surface. This can be done in 5 easy steps.

Step 1: Place control on hard surface at a 90 degree angle, left thumbstick protruding outwards, preferably towards you.

Step 2: Say a little prayer or perform a small ritual

Step 3: Using hammer, proceed to strike said Left thumbstick with one swift & decisive motion, preferably downwards. Warning: Insure no pets or small child are behind you on your backswing.

Step 4: Remove any debris around working surface and dust off controller. If injured, patch up any injuries.

        Step 5: Use controller.

Yes, it is, if your timing is perfect. I've hit quite a few HR's without using the left stick and just timing it right.
