Seriously, someone explain to me much better than the hints in the game do, on how to pitch!!?? It is hard as hell for me to hit points, pitching seems incredibly difficult.

I use the pitching scheme that has the halo that opens and closes, explain to me how please.

are you hitting the pitch button the 2nd time when the circle gets smaller.

no I don't walk anyone. I have the pitch interface slider set to 100 and that is all you can really do.

press the pitch button once and the yellow cirlce gets bigger. Release it when the circle gets bigger (the bigger the circle, the more power). Once you release it will start shrinking, you need to hit the pitch button again when it is as small as possible. Don't wait too long or you will throw a fast pitch. But the smaller the cirlce (when you click the 2nd time) the more accurate it will be. Now if you aren't doing the 2nd click, your pitches will be all over the place.

you probably aren't trying to get guys to chase enough. walks are as much the result of pitchers intentionally throwing out of the zone, or being overly careful with certain hitters as they are of control problems. if you are constantly attacking the zone, then you are not going to walk batters. also, are you using the zone pitching or break point. I find it a lot harder to pinpoint with break point pitching than zone pitching because the amount of break varies so much with how much you charge up the pitch. i think the break point is a lot more accurate representation of how pitching works and why pitchers have more trouble locating breaking pitches.

Agreed, but that's not the issue. The issue is the payoff pitching programming is MUCH more forgiving than the zone pitching programming. The difference is like night and day, which makes me wonder why they chose to program them so differently. My guess is it has to do with making online gaming easier - same reason they switched from True Aim zone pitching which was very difficult, to their much simpler and easier timed hitting system.

You mean true aim zone hitting right?

That's probably the reason- honestly I like how it works but it really needs to be less forgiving for not being exact. I'm liking zone pitching right now because I'm getting great pitch counts and walking guys.

One inning, I walked three straight guys

Based on a suggestion in another thread, I swithed over to the Zone2 pitching interface. I find this much harder to use than Payoff pitch mode. I made the switch because I felt that it was too easy to hit my spots, even with the pitch meter difficulty set to 100 (max). I gave up 2 or 3 walks in my test game. This meter is much less forgiving on mistakes and with the difficulty set to 100 it ramps up the difficulty. Powering up pitches yields a smaller target accuracy area to hit..... I'm really digging this pitch mode.

I'm digging it too. I have hit several batters too, something i would never do with the pay off pitching. And every pitch is intense ! Especially when I don't hit the marker very close. :y4:

Zone is MUCH harder- I have the interface at 80 and I'm definitely missing my spots if I get too cute.

The programming team won't bother but I'd be nice if they would make the 100 "max" on payoff pitching much faster like the Zone 2...then I would use it...

i'm still using payoff pitching for now but what i'm now doing is pitching from pitchers view instead of batters view and i'm also letting the catcher call my game, i just aim for his mitt regardless of where he puts it, i'll see how this works out.
