This version frustrates me more than any other

For the simple fact that if two things were fixed this would be one of the best baseball games ever. Lineup AI and camera angles. Besides those two things the game is freaking spectacular. Presentation is just beautiful and jaw dropping. The close ups on the hitters and replays are freaky they look so real.

Something as basic as camera and lineup AI are destroying it. I dont get it. All these years and they still cant correct the lineup bugs. And the camera ? The best part about hitting HR's is sitting back and watching the flight of the ball. Even on non HR's. Watching the flight of the ball is very important and adds a lot to the game.

Obviously the game is heading in the right direction, but unless the lineup AI is patched or a real workaround is found, no baseball for me. 3 years in a row.

Look around, there are some workarounds that should help with the ai lineup problems.

      Link please.

I am sure it is in the monster 26+ page franchise fix thread (IF there IS such a fix) but God help anyone trying to find it.

And God help anyone daring enough to ...GASP... start a new thread that might be remotely similar (but less unwieldy).

They haven't quite figured them out yet. They are close and I praise them for doing so. I have to agree on the angles. The only time it gets on my nerves is on the home runs. I am having little to no problem fielding which was the majior complaint I heard.

There are no AI lineup fixes. That issue has plagued this series for three years now. The only fix was controlling all teams in franchise, and that feature was removed last year.

That said, it's all been talked to death, seems to me. Time to accept the curveball we were served up this year, perhaps? And the cameras and camera angles are just fine BTW, so that's really a non-issue altogether.

Thanks for the clarification on the franchise "fix", baa7. I was getting my hopes up for a fix.

Well, let's say there's been no fix these past two years - and the issues with this year's game are exactly the same issues. So I don't see how people are suddenly and magically going to find a solution, especially when the only 'fix' (control of all teams) was removed from the game.

Sucks for you bro, this game is damn fun, especially when you have your boys over to play! We played till 1am last night after our slowpitch softball league ended, video games are best when played with friends, it gets boring playing alone, thats why franchise isnt as big a deal as you think...

The only "fix" which isn't really a fix is turning injuries and trading off.

Maybe the camera angles are just fine for you but for the OP and many other people the fielding camera sucks. My problem with the camera is it's just too low of an angle. When I hit a HR all I see is the fielder running towards the fence. It doesn't destoy the game but it does irritate the heck out of me.

This game is definitely moving in the right direction. It's leaps and bounds better than 2k6. Another year or two and this series might just be THE baseball game to get. For me, right now it's one of three solid options for baseball: 2k7, MLB 07 The Show and MVP 2005 with roster updates of course .

True. But alot of my friends that play games could care less for basbeball. We used to love doing Madden franchises. I did have one firend though we would play MVP all damn day. He moved back to New york though. Franchise modes shouldn't be overlooked .

Who are you to say the camera angles are fine? The reason every other sports game gives you a choice is because not everyone likes the same camera. This game needs a high fielding cam, period. I, and many others, enjoy watching the ball fly out of the stadium, not a camera track to the wall as the announcer says its a homerun. That's just not very exciting.

I gotta agree with the OP, this game is great and it gives The Show some solid competition. All around superb job by 2K. Now fix the camera.

'Camera' is my middle name. In fact my legal name at birth was Cam 'Camera' Camaro. I changed it later of course.

Just to clarrify I have no problem with the camera angles for fielding. Basically its just on fly balls to the outfield and HR's. It takes a lot away when you cant sit back and admire a moon shot. Instead you just get to watch a Left fielder press up against a wall. And on fly balls theres no way to judge depth or anything. You just have to go off the icon. Kills some realism for me.

I think the camera in the infield is AWESOME. I love the aspects it gives you. They just need to change it for the outfield.

And yes. Just give us control of all 30 teams and call it a day.
