Re: Out of curiousity - would you buy a baseball game if...
I could live with out mini games, crazy in depht franchise mode (I'm not interesting in tweaking the cost of a hot dog), even season mode IF the gameplay was so titties that I had absolutly no complaints. I'd rather have that than having the option to play 30 seasons in a franchise mode when the reality is 30 seasons times 162 games equals 4860 games (minus playoffs)...in order for me to complete that, assuming that a game for me is about 30 minutes, I would have to play for 2430 hours or 6.65 hours a day every day of the year. In other words, it's never gonna happen. That's more time than a full time job!!!!! Time and money invested in creating these kinds of options is time wasted as far as I'm concerned. Paticularly when there are GAMEPLAY issues that could be addressed.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

XB1 (Forza Motorsport 6 and Horizon 2)
Switch (Mario Kart and Zelda)
PS3 (old 2k games and the Show)Comment

I have a job and a girlfriend, franchise mode really isnt that important to me. Plus the best part about video games is playing against your friends anyways, and this game does a great job of that!!! Load it up, pick your teams and let the smack talking begin!!!Comment

I have never played more than 2-3 seasons in a franchise on a console, and to do that I usually wind up simming some of it. I have however played text based sims on PC that are far more indepth than anything ever released on a console... Front Office Football anyone? I can definitely go through 30 years of these, because I'm playing them to sim, not for the gameplay (there is none).
I wouldn't mind a separation of the two with my sports games. I still don't think it is going to happen though, and I doubt a "gameplay only" game could be as successful as one with at least some sort of "season" capability.Comment
