I think you use the right-thumbstick and flick it in some direction when you're approaching the wall. I don't have the game, so I don't know for sure... but that's how it was done in 2K6.

me too man.. i always run into the wall lol... I think its a flaw unless using the right thumbstick upwards is wrong, which i been doing

Yeah, I too have problems scaling the fence..Either he dives or runs dead into the wall.

It is VERY hard to time, but it can be done. The camera angle is what makes it so hard to judge.

When I was having trouble with timing, I stopped following my instinct. Whenever I feel like "Ok, jump now!", I force myself to wait a half second more and then press the right thumbstick up. At least that's what works for me.

Also with it on..it'll show a litle icon of a thumbstick as you near the wall/fence..showing you which way to pull the stick..

Its REALLY easy. When it gives you the right stick sign, press up, and then it will do all of the work for you. You don't press it when you want to catch it, you press it in advance and it scales.
