Sure I may be hitting too many HR's but I started a Cubs franchise and the true realism of this game shone through any clouds..
Game 1. Derrik Lee deep fly ball to straight away center. Griffey Jr. on his horse back....back....back.....tremendous catch as he sacrifices his body and runs into the wall! Great play.........wait a minute....a quiet hush falls over the crowd...here come the trainers.....oh no how can it be!?!? Jr has sprained his wrist on opening day! He's expected to miss 1-2 weeks.
Game 2. After two years of failed comeback attempts the once future ace Mark Prior is making his 2007 debut after an injury free spring. And he's blowing hitters away. His fastball is popping the cathers mit and it's deadly accurate. He's got a shutout going into the 7th inning. With two outs he fires a pitch outside to bring the count full ready to polish off another Red and get his 10th K.......but what's this.....here comes the trainers....Oh no, we have a sore rotator cuff injury and Prior is removed from the game!
