Unreadable disk..

Ok so now every single time I start up my BRAND NEW game, I get the unreadable disk error - please clean disk with cloth blah blah. I've tried cleaning it but no luck. Anyway around this at all, or do I have to replace it? I mean I only managed to get in two games before I got all these disk problems and the game is good so obviously I'm disappointed.

I am having this issue with MLB2K7 recently. I have had the game for about a month, and this first started a couple nights ago. I thought it was my 360 at first, being one of the first ones released and all (bought on first day), but I haven't had any issues with any other games. Is this a known issue with 2K7? Since it is a month old, I don't think I can take the game back.....any ideas?

I had the game since it was released played about 12 games and started to get the dirty disk error (about 3x) now about 30 games later i haven't gotten one. the only thing i do now is take the game out when i'm done playing, and start the game with the CD tray button so far so good.Oh and for ha ha's i cleared my system cache

As noted in other threads, my 360 is bricked. One of the frequent errors I got before that happened was that my disc needed cleaning. I hope this scenario doesn't play out for you, but you never know!

I just spent last night returning not one, not two, but three brand new 360s because of the red light circle that this game caused...it first happened on sunday night, so I tried a different game...nothing was working so I returned the 360 and got a new one...starting up a game on the brand new one and bam! frozen screen and red light...took it back and again it happened...I was so frustrated that I took the game in and told Best Buy that if they didnt want to see me there anymore, they give me a new Box and new game...needless to say, I was up till 4 in the am with my brand new 360 and brand spanking new 2k7...Just hopes that it dont happen again...

That is probably the worse string of luck that I have ever heard of concerning returning 360s. I hope your current box works for longer than a couple of minutes!

I don't have the game, I rented it but since returned it. I sometimes get that 3-ring red error only when I turn the console on...I always shut it down and turn it back on and it fixes itself. So far, "knock-on-wood" my head!! lol I never get this 3-ring error during game play. I've had it since 4/1/06. the date on the console is 1/27/06.

I thought my "3 Ring of Terror" episode was limited to MLB, but I tried Crackdown and NHL 2k7 and the same result popped up.

PUJOLS... I used to get this problem all the time. I have my 360 set so that when I turn it on it doesn't go straight to booting up the game. So before I select play game I take out the disc and wipe it off on my shirt. Now I never get the "Disc un-readable" message anymore.

So make sure you wipe your disc off before booting up the game. You shouldn't have any problems after that. I have even invested in one of those Mad Catz CD buffers which works too. Once you buff the CD you can probably play it for a few days to a week before ever getting the disc un-readable message.

I think that this error also has something to do w/ the heat that the 360 generates because I have noticed that when I have my fan stand on while playing the game I rarely ever get the disc unreadable message.

I had the same problem with my previous 360. I was lucky enough to have the manager swap out my system even though it's a launch system.

while I do hope that I don't have any major issue with my 360, what happens if I get the "ring of death" or whatever? I haven't read much about it....but will Microsoft replace my unit since it is a known issue?

I just got that message. I played it this afternoon, worked perfectly fine. Now, it doesn't do ****. I didn't move the 360, I didn't switch out games (MLB 2k7 is all I own at the moment), nothing.

I'm thoroughly pissed. If I have to replace my 360, I'm done. I'll replace it, and then sell it and I'll be completely done with gaming. I'm sick of dealing with this.

I've had MLB2K7 AND the 360 since release day..and have had NO problems.
UNTIL NOW..I can't get thru 2 innings without a sudden one second green screen followed by a reboot to the main screen by the system. Then the tray wont work. I have no idea if it is MLB2K7 related or my Xbox is hosed.
