prob dumb question: cut off man

I am having probs throwing to my cutoffs...

do you hit the base button and then RB? or do you just hit the RB button.

when my throws get close to the cutoff...I see RB over the player...but the ball goes right by them.

Last year...you would throw to base and then it the cutoff button.

What am I doing wrong?

Hit RB to throw to the Cut-Off man.

Only RB. Don't try to throw to the 2nd basemen and then click RB to go to the cutoff.

And don't worry, it's not a dumb question. I didn't know until I started practicing, like whenever the computer got a single, I clicked RB and it went to the cut-off man.

i was testing this out earlier, i threw it to the 2nd baseman and clicked RB once and it didn't work but then the next time around i threw to 2nd and tapped it a bunch of times and the cut off man cut off the throw

yeah, to do it reliably you have to just click rb.

in 2k6, you could definitely throw to the bag and then pull the left trigger (cutoff man button in 2k6) to cut it off.
