    HIT STICK SUCKS

Well, it doesn't... but I don't know how to get better. I get 3-4 hits a game, one of which being a homer. Any tips on how to get better, sliders to make it easier and more realistic, or just plain switch to classic for realistic stats?

      I'm loving the hit stick.

Go to HR Derby to get used to the feel of the hit stick. Oh yeah, and don't move the left stick after the pitch is released.

try this, i used to be really bad at the hit stick too but now im getting a lot of hits. I had 27 hits last game and 18 runs using JT30's sliders so i may have to tweak them a bit or try someone elses. I started getting more hits when i moved the zoom to 0 from its original starting point of 20. You can see the break on balls better and get better judgement.

my biggest problems are judging balls and strikes especially on 2 strike pitches
and I cannot get a hangof the semi circle sweeo thing to hit ball certain way. I end up clicking bunt button half the time and get a strike. ANybody got any suggedtions or tips? I love the hit stick though makes the game very addicting to me.

i thought the L stick (influence hit direction) was only for classic hitting and swing stick hit direction is by how you move stick or am i missing something here.

I believe you can still influence hit direction with the left stick when using the swing stick.

L stick: up for fly balls; down for groundballs; left for LF and right for RF. Move the stick before the pitcher sets and throws. Unfortunately, no zone hitting with the swing stick if that's what people are asking.

ok, let me get this straight, i have the 360 version by the way, in the manual and tips in the game it says to pull back and release for a contact hit, to contact hit to left field i'm to pull back and do a circular movement with the stick to the left and just the opposite to hit to right field, so are you guys saying that you can also influence hits with the swing stick by using the L stick like i was when using classic hitting, if so say i want to hit to left can i aim left with the L stick and only pull back and release my swing stick w/o doing the circular motion thing, i think i'm starting to get dizzy

Just pause in-game, go into the Tips section and read. It's all right there.

Classic is the same BTW. Classic is not zone hitting. It's utilizes the same hit mechanics as the swing stick. It's timed hitting, and using the sticks to influence hit type/direction (fly ball, groundball, left or right field).
