The "fun" part as a pitcher is when there are two outs and your SS boots a routine GB which would have ended the inning and then the other teams scores 6 or 7 runs, which are all unearned. Can't be a worse feeling for a SS when that happens though.

I thought that they eventually became earned runs again. I didn't see anything covering that in the rules you posted. I'll look around and see what I can find.

Didn't look to deep into what is causing the problem but their definately is a problem with the scoring of earned and unearned runs.

Played an exhibition game last night in which I gave up 13 runs on 16 hits with no errors and looking through my pitchers stats after the game 4 unearned runs were creditied to my pitchers when no errors were committed.

Don't know excactly what the CPU is recognizing as an unearned run but it is wrong. Oh well not excactly a game killer, but still a bit annoying for stat freaks like me....

i just notice that the saves are also broken....
yesterday i put dempster in the last inning , when i was winning by 6 runs, he didnt surrender any runs or hits but still he got the save!
saves are only reward when a picther comes in and the other team has the tie run at least due up to bat on that specific innig , inst that correct?
if so, its broken in season mode...

I love to see this question. I'm guessing AT LEAST the thread starter cares. And there are several others that responded, that seem to care as well. My question to you is, if you don't care, why post?

Funny thing is I would never know this or even recognize this. Guess because I am playing the game for fun and not beta testing it.

Great for you, but you don't have to be beta testing to see stat flaws. You just have to know the rules... in this case, how ERA is determined. I understand you're happy to be blissfully ingnorant, but why the backhanded insinuation?

Annoying, but not AS bad as last year when walking with a guy on base who gets forced over is awarded a stolen base. Having Papi with 15 stolen bases in the middle of May was ridiculous. I'm pretty sure the grammar in that first sentence is FUBAR as well.

Your right...that's the way it works. Hey, maybe 2k could take the $60 they stole from unsuspecting gamers and buy themselves a MLB rule book, maybe that will help
