    Just had a great game...

in my season I am playing out with the Braves, I had was playing interleague at Fenway against the Red Sox. With the score 4-2 in the 9th I bring on Bob Wickman for the save. He gets two quick outs before JD Drew hits a flare to center to keep it alive. Up walks Mike Lowell and on the first pitch I try and hit the inside corner with slider but instead I miss badly and it's a pitch out over the plate that he crushes to tie it up at 4-4.

In the top of the 10th I get a single to lead off the inning. Willy Aybar comes to the plate and I attempt to bunt the runner over. I don't get a great bunt as it's more of a pop up that takes an in between hop for Lowell. Lowell fields it and has plenty of time to throw me out at first, but instead he changes his mind mid throw (he literally did a pump like he was going to first and then stopped and changed direction and threw to 2nd) and goes for the lead runner who slides in just safe. Renteria comes to bat and I lay down a sac bunt to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Chipper Jones comes to the plate and Terry Francona has him intentionally walked and brings in Mike Timlin to face Andruw Jones. AJ hits a screamer but right to Julio Lugo at SS who turns into a double play to end the inning.

In the bottom of the 10th I bring on Chad Paronto who gets 2 quick outs before Julio Lugo singles up the middle. Up walks Big Papi. After busting him in with sliders McCann sets up for a fastball away. Papi hits an opposite field shot that hits the light tower and caroms back onto the field of play for a walk off two run shot. Sox win 6-4. It was funny because after the game I was looking my team morale page and all the relievers morale bars were in the red.

Re: Just had a great game...

At my house I only have my wife to tell about my baseball gaming triumphs-and she could care less. This is a great place to sound off. So,I'd like to add a quick one too-My Dodgers are having the typical war of the Bay with SF. I'm up 2 in the 6th. One of the Giants hits a laser to the shallow outfield-Pierre is on it though(I was playing shallow) big throw to home. The runner was at second,he gets greedy and goes for home-My catcher just got the ball and had his legs planted for a football tackle. That runner(his name escapes me right now)plows my catcher over like a Mack truck runnig over a little bunny rabbit. It was awesome,I watched it in replay and it looked fair to me. The runner had a head of steam and just got the smackdown right. Anyway-my manager argues the call, and my team morale goes up 2 points. Nonetheless, my pitcher losses his stuff-It was a fun, exciting game up to the end-I lose 6-4. I got 2 more games at SF,so maybe the next catcher collision will be mine. BTW-Maybe we should'a called this thread"My wife could care less,so here's my hightlight reel moment?" or moved to the"Dang" thread?-LOL! good story you had there too
