On throwing, is it me or are the buttons pressure sensitive? I notice when I tap it with my infielders, it appears they lob the ball. When I press and hold, they seem to fire it. Am I imagining things?

Baserunning and Throwing
Question: How do I control baserunners if I want to control them individually (not just advance all runners)? In other words, what do I press to get the last runner to move? What is the number that shows up under a baserunner when he's on base?

Re: Baserunning and Throwing
What I mean is that if runner A is on 1st and runner B gets a hit, how do I control runner B to take the extra base (not considering the left and right bumper buttons, which advance all runners)? I know there is a way to take control of runner B, but I'm not sure how. Also, what is the number (1,2,etc.) under the runners when they are on base?Comment

Re: Baserunning and Throwing
I think I have the same question. I may have figured it out, but I'm still not sure. If you use the RT (to retreat) or LT (to advance). Also, if you pull the LT once, your runner will advance to the next base. If you pull the LT twice, the number you see will increase by one for the runner's destination.
Again, I'm still not positive on all this as I continue to have my struggles on the basepaths. If anyone has any advice or wisdom, please share.
Also, is there anyway to slide headfirst into first base. I have not seen this yet, but wondered if it was possible."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: Baserunning and Throwing
Actually, I saw this today for the first time!, I was playing my son on XBOX Live and he did it. I think what he did was pushed up or down on the right stick, just like you would nomally do to slide under any bases. I did see it!! and he was safe too!!Comment

Re: Baserunning and Throwing
To select the runner you want to advance while the ball is in play, press the corresponding button for each runner. I believe it shows up right above the runner.
The small number under the runner corresponds to what base he is attempting to reach, no matter where on the basepaths he is.Comment

Re: Baserunning and Throwing
It's either up or down, up being headfirst and down being feet first, or left or right, with right being head first and left being feet first. I'm not sure which it is, but I'm thinking it's up or down.Comment
