well from what ive played and what ive heard in diferent forums, this isnt possible in this years game.

the only colision i saw so far(beside with your onw teamates) was a nice animation at the homeplate of a.dunn running over barret, who fortunatly could hold the ball, so got the out.

I have tried over and over, but I've never been able to make it happen. Might not be included this season.

          It's definetely not possible guys.

If you were hoping for MVP-esque take outs, the only thing that happens when you slide and it's close is that the 2B might jump over you or something.

that stinks, shouldn't be hard to implement the occasional breakup. Pure laziness from developers.

I have slid hard into 2nd base and caused a few late throws from the 2B, but there are no take outs. Te player will go right under them as the CPU tries to get the ball away and the ball goes a little off target.

yea the cpu tried to take out Omar and he side stepped to his left 3 times because Durham was also in his way before he threw to first. Was a cool animation. Only seen it once thus far.

                    Re: Breaking up double plays?

Not only are the take out slides not in, but on a lot of double plays that I have been a part of the ball will sometimes go right through the runner heading to second. There is no collision detection between user and cpu teams. This is especially noticeable when you attempt a pickoff at 1st and the 1B swipes his glove through the body of the player diving back, and the player diving back seems to go through the legs of the 1B.

                    WTF 2K?

Like what is the point of having jerseys blowing in the wind, and all that crap when players go right through each other?

This was a known issue before game release as Ben stated it in an interview. Does it make it any better, No but I at least I knew it was coming.

Well I'm glad you were informed.

However, that makes it even worse... How can you overlook this? Breaking up a double play is one of the most important things a baserunner has to do. And players sliding through each other? Balls being thrown through players?

They are willing to overlook all these things? That is what kills me.
