i cannot keep from giving up an incredible amount of HRs. is anyone else having this problem? on anything higher than "pro" level i am giving up about 7 or 8 HRs to the computer each game. i am doing a GM career with the yankees and am getting about 2-3 HRs each game myself.
i was doing the default pitching system and have since switched to zone pitching, but nothing has changed. i do not throw a lot of "meat pitches" and the majority of the ones that are hit out are thrown perfectly.
i was just winning a game against the twins 7-5 (they got all 5 runs on HRs) and brought in rivera, who promptly gave up HRs to Hunter, Morneau and Cuddyer to lose the game. 8 HRs in one game!
i was going to work my way through it and hope i could figure it out, but at this point i'm wondering if i'm not doing something wrong.
with the default pitching system i was very familiar with it from 2k6, so it's not like i was doing anything wrong with that one. with the zone pitching it seems fairly self-explanatory. granted, i probably listen to my catcher too much....but michael cuddyer should not be hitting rivera's cutter off his hand and into the bleachers.
