Is there a way to make the ball invicible when pitching?
Is there a way to make the ball invisible when playin single player? I dont want to be able to see where it will be pinpoint. I think my pitching is way to good even with the 3-4 sets of sliders I tried.Tags: None -

Only thing you could do is use breakpoint and zone/zone2.. That would make it the most difficult along with interface set at 100 -

I use this for what you're describing. I set the "Strikezone" in option to show only after the the ball is in the catcher's mitt. That way, you're not exactly sure if you're pinpointing your pitches or way inside the K-zone. If you move the cursor a bit too much to the outside the zone the controller vibrates, to tell you that you're way off. Works for me.Comment

Yeah I tried that method I just dont like it. I was hopin there was a way even to make it fade out like a 2 player game...I wish they woulda left that in for single player....Comment

While it is more challenging to use the zone 2, i don't care for it either. To me it has no flow like the payoff pitching does. I am switching back to payoff now but what i am going to do is raise CPU power so i'll be a tad more scaried to throw strikes. Even with zone 2 i was only walking 2 a game.Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment

I should have tried breakpoint and zone before having to return my rented MLB 2k7 for comparison's sake, but...
A self-centering invisible pitching cursor was one of the things the infamous WSB 2k1 did right. I know I'd love to see it come back as an option.
Being able to paint the black due to one's sense of just how far to move the stick, earned from putting time into the game, without any visual or rumbling aiming clues was/would be a far more satisfying change for the more hardcore player... I can only imagine how great it would be combined with breakpoint pitching.Comment

I do agree though that there should be a Classic pitching option ala The Show. Stinks that there isn't.Comment

I love the current pitching mechanic, but I switched it to Zone1. I forgot how much I liked that mechanic too. In fact, coupled with the breakpoint pitching, it makes for a really challenging style. Also, you get a better idea on where you located your pitch based off the two circles (that determines the verticle and horizonal of the pitch location). If you give Zone1 some time, you'll probably find a better liking to it (don't forget to move the interface up in the difficulty options).Comment
