    Minor League Progression

Do any of you keep this on? I have it off curently because I thought the cpu would just start sending guys up and down like mad. If you have it on could you give some feedback? I am interested in seeing if some minor lg guys jump in ratings and are ready without me knowing. Has anyone gone to the end and seen what goes on as far as: drafting players, player rating ups/downs, retired players, FA signings etc... I have several young guys that are supposed to be studs soon just curious if they will really develop at all? (nyy-p.hughes,j.tabata,h.sanchez) thanks

    Re: Minor League Progression

I tested the progression of 15 players with A+ potential, so here are the results. And I realize the sample size is somewhat small and there's only one grade tested, so sorry about that, but anyways:

    Alex Gordon (originally 75 OVR) - 73 after '07, 74 after '08
    Philip Hughes (originally 76 OVR) - 81 after '07, 85 after '08
    Delmon Young (77 OVR) - 79 after '07, 79 after '08
    Homer Baily (59 OVR) - 62 after '07, 65 after '08
    Brandon Wood (66 OVR) - 74 after '07, 72 after '08
    Tim Linecum (72 OVR) - 78 after '07, 81 after '08
    Cameron Maybin (67 OVR) - 70 after '07, 71 after '08
    Chris Young (68 OVR) - 68 after '07, 68 after '08
    Jay Bruce (62 OVR) - 68 after '07, 72 after '08
    Evan Longoria (66 OVR) - 74 after '07, 80 after '08
    Reid Brignal (66 OVR) - 74 after '07, 81 after '08
    Ryan Bruan (58 OVR) - 61 after '07, 63 after '08
    Matt Garza (67 OVR) - 70 after '07, 70 after '08
    Yovani Gallardo (64 OVR) - 68 after '07, 71 after '08
    Andrew McCutcheon (60 OVR) - 68 after '07, 74 after '08

I'm not sure how or if progession correlates with performance or whether it random, and in the event you don't want to figure it out, the largest jump was 8 overall points, while Gordon and Wood declined 2 points. Next time I'll look into performance as well as testing multiple grades. Hope that helped to some degree.

Thanks, E. Longoria jumped nice. I am interested to hear if you leave the minor league management ON if they suggest you move up someone or if it just occurs? I have started Hughes twice now and he is getting better, went 7 innings last game and gave up 2 er with 6k's.
