Striking out Batters in Nervous Situations

I was playing the Cards against the Giants last night. The game was tied 2-2 with the bases loaded, one out. Joe Young comes up and Looper is nervous because the ball is jumping around a lot. Joe worked it to a full count and got him to ground into a tricky double play. The entire time, the crowd was on their feet screaming like hell.

Interesting thing happened the next half of the inning, my team scored 4 runs on several base hits by my average players. I went on to win the game 6-2

Correct me if I am wrong, but would it be wrong to think that the double play pushed the momentum in my favor?

    I love this game!

Just like Barry would have caught the two pop flies in the OF? He is looking worse than Chris Duncan and Adam Dunn!

I don't know if he would have hit it out, but he wouldn't have gotten a double play.

When I get in that situation,I'll roll the dice and have a mound visit. One thing that doesn't help at all is putting in a relief pitcher that is close to scrub status, even if you only have one out to go. That move cost me a grand slam a couple of nights ago-errr. I did have a close play at first once,I argued it and it boosted the team morale up and I slided through that mess, lucked out really.

This happens all the time, but against me rather than for me.
