Re: Xbox 360 HDD cache clear code

I did this last year trying to get MLB2K6 to stop freezing (along with formatting the 360 hard drive). I thought the game also played a little smoother after clearing the cache, but it wound up going back to stuttering after 20-30 games played. That's the nature of cache though.

    - Doing the clear cache method will NOT delete any game saves. However, it will remove all game updates/patches that have been released. You'll know if a game has been updated/patched as the game will prompt you to download the update/patch as soon as the game boots up. There is a patch for MLB2K7.

    - Formatting your drive will wipe it clean. It will erase all game saves, rosters, settings, patches and Xbox Live games. You can re-download the XBL games as they are tied to a user profile, but you will lose Hexic HD (gotta call MS and convince them to give you a code to download the game again).

Do you noctice any game not running smooth? MY game seems to run smooth.

MLB2K7 has some hiccups. Nothing that really bothers me though. It usually occurs during some cut scenes. Last year was much worse IMO.

I think Madden had some hiccups as well. The non-sports games I've played have been extremely smooth though.

No, it won't remove any saves, just updates.
