    Ground rule doubles

There seem to be a lot of them.. well at least from my experience.. 10 games into my franchise and I have hit 7 already...but, the worst part about it... the computer scores it as a single

I'm 11 games in, and I haven't seen one. Are you playing on turf?

Are you sure they score them as singles?

I could have sworn they were scored as an 0-1. I'll have to check again when I hit one. They definitely aren't scored as a double though.

I've only had one, didn't pay any attention to how they scored it though.

Its been happening at Fenway... They scored it as a single because I hit two ground rule doubles with Papi and he went 5-5... I looked at the boxscore, and there were no doubles listed for Papi...

            Oh well..

I've also seen a couple, and the couple that I had came around to score and weren't charged as earned runs for the pitcher, as well.

I've seen them at Fenway too. I had 3 in one game and none were counted as hits at all. All three batters got 0 for 1's.

To me it seems like the ball bounces off of the grass like it would on the old AstroTurf. I believe that's why there are so many ground rule doubles.

I just had a ball drop about 7ft. away from the warning track at Chase Field and go for a ground rule double. That should've only happened if the ball hit the warning track.

I would guess that in real life, fenway see's more than most in RF with the low wall! I have not seen enough to be annoyed, maybe 3 in my franchise and I have played 33 games.
