It's raining in Toronto...and the ROOF IS OPEN

Ugh...so I'm playing a game against Toronto and it's raining pretty hard, and I'm like "Sweet...dome closed and we get the indoor lights on" but no...the roof is open and it's so overcast that the game is literally almost black. I can't see anything.

What's the deal? that should have been something that shouldn't ever happen.

It's been raining in Skydome/Rogers Centre since MLB 2K5. Couldn't you tell by all the puddles of water on the fieldturf when you first opened the game?

Just pretend Toronto built a new, open-air stadium and you'll be good to go

A lot of times in Milwaukee the announcers will state the game will be played with "the roof closed today", but it really isn't.

I just love how they fronted that the roofs would open and close at the right times.

I hope they fix this with a patch. Actually, I hope they fix a lot of things with a patch.

Just laziness on the part of 2K Sports and their programmers.. No reason why this should happen. They should just turn off rain, if they plan on incorporating rain in a game at the Rogers Centre.

More reason for me to wait for MLB 2007 for PS3.

Given this is three years in a row now, it's beyond lazy. It's into the realm of unfathomable as to why they haven't fixed this issue and a number of other issues that have been in the game for years - the lineup problems in franchise mode as one example.

Yeah as a Jays fan this is so annoying. If I start a game there and it turns out to be raining, I keep restarting until its clear. I thought I read somewhere that they implemented the retractable roof?

You did. Last year they stated there would be custom soundtracks in the game ala NFL 2K5, but there wasn't. This year they made the same claim, and it turns out the custom soundtrack feature is really just a 'select our music' feature. Not kosher.

There's the same problem with Safeco Field in Seattle. There's no reason there should ever be rain on a field with a retractable roof, at least not for more than one inning. It should just be turned off in places like Seattle and Toronto. This is a rather dumb mistake that 2K should fix in a patch.

When I started my Dodgers GM career, my first game was on the road at Milwaukee and I noticed that it was raining with Joe Morgan stating that the roof was closed when indeed it was open. From that point on, I always save right after each game so that way if the next game is a rainy game in a stadium with a retractable roof, I just reload.

My game just went back to my EBgames and traded in for MLB The Show 2007 for the PS3.

Very dissapointed with this part of the game. How can you have rain in the Rogers Centre??? Just stupid if you ask me. And it's dark too boot. WTH.

This and other bugs have killed any interest I had going for this game.

A part of me says I wish EA had the license to the MLB. sigh...
