OK... So I am playing my GM mode as the Phillies and it is time for the ASG. I start the game, and veiw the rosters for the two teams and there is only like 1 starting pitcher for each team. To make things even worse the entire staff of All-Star pitchers are releivers and closers. One of my pitchers on the NL All-Star team was Fabio Castro...which just baffles me. He is a releiver w/ only one win, 40 k's, and a 3.40 ERA. No saves. How did he make the All-Star team? There were a bunch more for each team, and each team only had two starters. However, looking at the stats there was of course a vast amount of starters that the CPU could have picked from to select to each All-Star team.
Also, each team also had an abundance of batters. They had whole other 9 position players on the bench.
Since this was my first All-Star game I wanted to see if this would be a trend so I started another GM mode and simmed all the way to the All-Star game. I looked at the rosters for both teams, and they looked very normal.
So if I play a majority of the games up to July in my GM mode are the All-Star game selections going to be crazy/stupid like I first mentioned?
Has anyone had any experience with this?
