    a couple of points

first of all i have not bought the game. i now wait to buy all games until i read what you guys say on this post. i bought nba 2k7 because of the great reviews even thyough i actually liked live on the normal xbox. but once i bout the 360 i knew i had to have nba 2k7.

my point...is that i find it hard to believe anyone can defend the bugs.

    - ground rule double - out
    - walks are not counted as earned runs
    - crazy trades and batting order
    - countless gaffes and freezing

these are just a few that i have read. but to me if you dont count walks as earned runs then you are not playing a real baseball game. and then i have to hope any double does NOT go over the wall? how can this be fun? these games should not have these bugs. how hard is it for these comapnies to test. does it take another week? then do it. this whole nonsense about brinkman having a three year rule is a joke. if you cant put a quality prodcut on the market then don't do it. why defend these bozos?

anyway, i downloaded 2007 rosters for MVP. loaded up the original xbox and started my season. of course i did notice the cpu had joe mauer leading off.

The ground rule double point is absolutely incorrect, they are not counted as outs. The walks thing is correct, which is ********, but true. I turn trades off, so I cannot comment, and they do turn in some ridiculous lineups especially against lefties, but alot of games have lineup issues. In MVP, if the cleanup hitter is getting a day off, and a .091 rookie is replacing him, he still hits cleanup. I haven't seen any "gaffes", and In over 30 games I've yet to freeze even once. Hope this helps.

All i can say is the massive positives of the gameplay and graphics overall hugely outweighs any negatives.

To not play the game and enjoy it because of a ground rule double being scored as a single or an odd trade i find totally bizarre and sad.

      Play and enjoy.

I feel i am in the middle on the MLB issues- Ground rules are not outs like the other guy stated.

The orders really are not that bad and with some tweaks you can severely limit the ones that are. I limit the trading by only having it on the week before the deadline but i am not sure i think its a crazy engine. I think doesn't value things like potential and player value to the team well.

The walks thing is a bad one too me but i do hope that one is patchable

Freezing of games seem to be a real random occurance in games. I have had some never freeze that others have had countless times. Really outside the MLB2K6 i dont think any have had mass freeze problems.

          Re: a couple of points

I play this game because it is the only playable baseball game in the market. If EA still had their share, I am sure that I would not be able to say that.

Yeah I play this game as much as I can. This is the first game on the 360 where I can say that, and I loved NBA2K7. I can't put it down. The walks issue is inexcusable, but definitely patchable (if that is a word). Get it, use sliders, use Dkrause's rosters for the lineup problems (I haven't seen anything crazy through about 30 games), and play the hell out of the game and enjoy!!!!!!!!!

if a patch is released i will be the first one in line to buy the game. but realism is thrown out the window if you pitcher gives up 3 weeks and a homer. one earned run?

Like i said Dano, if you are prepared to not play the best looking and best gameplay version of a baseball game ever, because a walk isnt counted in ERA stats, whos the sad one?
