    I think in the WSB interview here it was stated that the behind the pitcher view is only for when you're pitching.

            It'd be cool to be able to play both sides of the ball in that view for next years game. Still including this for pitching is awesome!

                    If you notice in that movie, the camera switches to behind the batter as soon as the ball makes contact with the bat. If you watch it frame by frame, you can really see this. In past baseball games with a behind the pitcher, I have always thought that the camera switch was too late, making it hard to field the ball. By the looks of it, thats not the case with WSB. By switching the camera instantly at bat contact, you basically see the hit just as you would pitching from the traditional view.
