    Your Rotation

We all love to talk about which hitters rock for us, or against us, has anyone discussed which of their teams' pitchers is their fav to pitch with?

Well as for me, im a Mets user, and i love to pitch with El Duque. First i had to change his default throwing motion to his brothers (bc for some reaon they did not include it)...and that Eephus pitch is not fair to the CPU. Then Glavine. I took Pedro out of the rotation bc it didnt seem fair. I had Chan Ho in there but that is over. Pelfrey in the game is nothing like Pelfrey in real life thus far (real life = good, 2K7 = sucky). But i will trade whoever is reasonable (including Alou if need be) to get Sabathia from The Indians. I need another Leftie in the rotation, because Oliver Perez has been getting MOLLYWHOPPED so he needs to go down for a while .

As far as my Bullpen Burgos and Sanchez have been getting smacked around, but Feliciano has been my rock...i need help there and it isnt Heilman. And Wagner is as overrated as ever in this game...which is cool bc i use the Mets but im a real Mets fan and like other real Mets fans we actualy are getting to the point when we wince as he is leaving the bullpen and approaching the mound . He scares me.

Who is your fav or what upgrades will you/have you made?

I pulled it off. Sabathia, for Alou, Burgos and Valentin. Well worth it.

Yup. There's a trade that would NEVER happen.

I'm using the Yankees, and I love pitching with Mussina. His knuckle-curve always gets me out of tough spots. I like pitching with Wang's sinker, but I'm generally only effective with him until the 4th or 5th, when they start sitting on his sinker. His other pitches aren't very good, so I start to get rocked at that point. I hate every pitcher in the bullpen, except Rivera of course. So, I try to get my starters as deep into the game as possible, hopefully at least through 7. This is tough with Pavano, and especially Igawa, as they both have not been producing for me.

Its funny, I cannot get a win with Barry Zito. He's actually my best pitcher stat wise, yet we score no runs for the guy. He's currently 0-3, with a 3.00 ERA and 26 K's.

I guess it because we usually face the other teams ace when he goes.

Well True to Cubs form, Prior and Wood are out and I also lost Rich Hill for the year with an elbow tear or something Wood and Prior are out 2 or 3 months as well. My rotation now is

              1. Zambrano
              2. Wade Miller
              3. Jason Marquis
              4. Sean Marshall
              5. Angel Guzman

I traded Ted Lilly and and a high rated prospect for Cordero from Milwaukee.

Haha, Prior is out for the season for me too. Tore something in his elbow I believe. So I replaced him with Wood in the lineup. We'll see how long he lasts, lol. Right now my favorite person to pitch with is prob. Big Z, and I made a trade for Ervin Santana, and I really like pitching with him too. Rich Hill started off strong for me, but the last 3-4 starts he's been getting rocked. Lilly is solid too.

Funny you bring that up, Jason Schmidt for me is 0-3 with an era under 3.0 but cant get any run support, the closest he came to a win was in the season opener against the Brewers, left the game with a 2 run lead only to watch my closer Saito give up a 2 run blast to Jenkins and cost him the win. Schmidt is who I enjoy pitching with the most but Wolf has the most strikeouts, unfortunatly his era is hovering around 5.00 though.

Yeah, I dig pitching with Zito, his hook is nasty. I just wish I could score some runs for the guy. We've been shut out in his last two starts, 2-0 in Pittsburgh and 1-0 against St. Louis. In both games he gave up the runs in the 1st inning, and we can do nothing.

well for some reason lately I cannot get very many K's with Santana, but when I use Liriano I kick ***. one game I had almost 20 K's with him...he was just on fire...but other then that I am doing horrible with the Twins because I can't get any offense going...all the games are close too...I usually lose like 3-1 or something.

I've mentioned this in a another thread as well. I can't pitch very effectively with Santana. I usually only give up a couple runs when I pitch exhibitions with him, but I can never top 5 k's with him. They never chase any of his pitches for me, and they are never really fooled by his changeup. And when they are making outs, they are usually VERY well hit but right at someone. It's not Santana like at all. Beats me.

Have you played against Santana though? I was messing with Sliders and was the Yankees vs the Twins and Santana struck me out like 14 times...yes I suck at batting lol.

I always get pumped for Johan's starts because I am trying to win the Cy Young in my franchise. In response to the above posts about not getting K's with Santana, I know what you're saying. I had a stretch of starts where I couldnt get more than 3-4 k's with him. But in the game I just finished tonight, he K'd 13 in 7.2 innings. Overall he has 83 K's in 95 IP, so that is pretty accurate.

Fernando Rodney. His changeup/fastball combination is lethal. 95-98 on the heat, then 73-76 on the change. It's nasty. No one can touch him if I hit my spots.

As for starters, ironically, I tend to pitch the best with Mike Maroth.
