how do you pitch!!!!!

I am getting so frustrated with this game because every time I pitch the ball goes nowhere near where i intended it. Also, the ball is shown on the screen so the cpu knows exactly where it is. Usually it is a meat pitch right down the middle of the plate . PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

The, uh, CPU doesn't 'know' where the ball is, just because you can see it on your TV screen. You understand that, right?

Two things: you're either using breakpoint pitching where you aim at where you want the ball to start out, NOT end up. Or you're not hitting the target twice in order to set the accuracy. Pitching is a three-step process: aim, hit the button to activate, hit again to set.

yes i understand that the cpu cannot actually see it, but it increases the odds of the pitch being hit. Also, what do you mean by three step process. maybe thats what im doing wrong. for what type of pitching is that for?(payoff, zone, zone2). I am using payoff (default) so if its 4 zone(2) then never mind.

No it doesn't... unless you're posting this from the distant future where video games are significantly more advanced. Or from the Twilight Zone - that would explain things as well.

Payoff pitching: 1. aim; 2. push button to activate target (those annoying yellow circles); 3. push button a second time to hit target and to throw pitch.

Actually, if he does throw a meat pitch, it does have an effect with how the ball is hit. Though the computer may not see it, there's an "Effectiveness Mod Slider" that increaes the CPU power on meat pitches. Basically, if you throw a meat pitch, the CPU will have a much more powerful contact with them.

And you will immediately notice the vastly improved results, believe me. Same as trying to swing using the L trigger - game just flat out don't work that way!

Well, now that I read it again, I see what was said. Lol, that is pretty funny, technically the CPU can know every location you pitch. It is the CPU.

I'm really enjoying Zone1 pitching with the mechnic speed at 100, and coupled with breakpoint pitching. It puts so much pressure into pitching, and even makes fatigue more of an issue.
