Yesterday I was watching sportscenter and the game between the indains and seatle, taking place in Cleveland was snowing. I have seen baseball games in the rain, but they actually played some of the game in the snow before it was cancled. Just joking about them adding this into 2k baseball next year.

I think it would be a great feature if it was used properly. If it was early April in the Midwest and out East or in October and the World Series. That would be perfect. Now if it started snowing in June in San Francisco than the game would be totally screwed up and wouldn't be fun to play.NHL-Minnesota Wild

Personally, whenever I would fire up a game in 2K6 and it was raining (or even overcast), I would restart the game until I got clear skies. I think it was more of because the game had a worse framerate in that type of weather. As a matter of fact, at least at AT&T Park, the game had the best framerate at night, and even day games would be worse.
The other reason would just be because I admire the visuals in these games, and they really shine when there is some sort of lighting hitting the models (same with ESPN NFL 2K5). I wouldn't mind seeing some snow flurries in MLB 2K8 at the appropriate temperature & time of year. Maybe they could add some of those ski masks that some players have been wearing.
I'd also like to see functioning retractable roofs & improved rain effects. The rain looks pathetic in 2K7 & never really seem to vary from light drizzles to downpours. I expected a little more than just some long lines dropping down from the screen on these powerful new systems.Comment

I see no point of snow... when it does happen it is very rare. If they put it in most of wouldn't even notice the feature. A lot of others things to concentrate on other then snow.Comment

I see no point in snow in real life...Also don't see why the season can't start in may and they can just shave 30 games off the schedule. This would get past this cold weather crap in most cities, and most certainly get past the snow problems that seem to happen once a year now...Comment

You shave off 30 games of the schedule, and teams/stadiums will lose money. Moreover, baseball records will be worthless because they won't be able to be surpassed in less than 162 games.Comment
