I threw a no-hitter last night with Casey Fossum...The eephus pitch killed the Rangers and Tampa Bay rolled to their second win of the fresh season in my newest 4 team franchise. My sliders are usually murderous on my pitching staff(all 4 of them) and I have never given up less than 6 hits a game. Which is why, to my surprise, around the 7th inning, I started to hear Jon Miller talking no-no, I was shocked. I had put runners on and was surprise Fossum could even go the distance. I actually contemplated taking him out in the after the 6th because he was at 27% stamina. By the ninth, he couldn't spot a thing, but the Rangers hitters were up there swinging at garbage.
Just thought I'd ask if anyone else has pitched a gem. I know most people are trying to play a realistic game, which is why my sliders are legit. All my teams are around .500 and I have no one leading the league in anything and team stats are all in the middle of the pack. I am one of those types that would rather miss the playoffs with realistic stats, than go 158-3 in the regular season.
