    Framerate Problem - PS3

I had a few framerate problems but nothing major.

I then played against St Louis away. When i pitch with a man on the pitch meter seems to be way too fast and jerky.

I use the behind the pitcher cam and have my setting at 720p.

What can i do as its really unplayable. I didn't have any problems on other stadiums yet but i play most games at home with the Brewers.

Is there anything i can do, is it just me or my settings ?

    Hi,

I had the same problem when I played at Dodger stadium. But when I pitched from the behind the catcher view it worked smoothly again. But I don't like to pitch in that view.

Then i had the same problem....in reverse at Wrigley Field. It wouldn't work smoothly in behind the catcher. But it was smooth in behind the pitcher.

Unfortunatly I had the same problem when I was pitching against Boston in LA and now ever single game when someone gets on base it happens again. Its annoying, but I guess it makes the pitching harder which cant be a bad thing so I deal with it, as best I can that is.

Do people find that this problem gets worse as time goes on or does it change from game to game ?

For example when you first play against St Louis away and have a man on was there a problem ? Then a few games later is the probelm worse ?

So there are no cures for this apart from changing the camera ?

maybe we could do a list of the best camera to use at each stadium to avoid framerate drops with men on base.

Milwaukee - Seems fine with all cameras
Cubs - Problem with behind the batter when pitching
St Louis - Behind the pitcher problem

This is the one thing that will drive me to stop playing it, before I could deal with it but now its getting out of hand. This happens every single home game, apparently there are too many fans sitting behind home plate so it slows everything down and makes it nearly impossible to pitch and Im getting tired of it. I changed it to behind the batter during pitching and of course it ran smooth again, but yet when doing this I cant see where my catcher wants me to throw the ball so this is pointless. As an example, I am 19-20 at home with LA but am 25-18 on the road, I dont expect to win every game but the pitching at home with the awful framerate is killing the experience for me. Is there anyone else out there going through the same thing and would like to share how they fixed it, if they did at all?

Agreed. What I do (which sucks) is, I pitch from BTB whenever the framerate slows down (it seems when there is runner on second base (at the stadiums it happens at, not all))..then when the situation changes where there is no longer a runner on second base, switch back to BTP...it sucks, but recenty I started to pitch and bat exclusively from BTB because I don't have to look at the 'ugly' fans behind home plate...I do this also because I find it harder to pitch strikes when trying to paint the corners, which leads to more CPU offense (interface speed=100, zone 1 pitching), which is a good thing in my book. just my opinion.

Thats all true Im sure, I just like throwing the game my pitcher calls and never going with anything else when pitching. Ive had my catcher call for 4 straight balls and Ive thrown 4 straight balls, this is my way of giving up walks, one game I walked 6 with Wolf so it seems to be working perfectly. The framerate when playing in LA makes it impossible to do much of anything, take into account I play 81 games there a year and you can understand where my problems come from. The only possible fix, for me atleast, would be to purchase the inside edge reports for everyone I face because whenever its a payoff pitch it always shows where my catcher wants it when pitching from BTB, but that appears to be the only time.

ok, gotcha...i'm from cincy and play with cincinnati where there's not slowdown. i have to admit it though, i really miss the catcher animations calling the came when using BTP

Got tired of playing as the Dodgers and having this problem, have since moved onto playing as the Cubs and am now running into it again, albeit from a different prespective. Initially it was when I was pitching, it would become all jerky whenever we had too many fans sitting behind home plate, now as the Cubs it happens when Im hitting and someone is on 2nd base, everything becomes extremely jerky and thus forcing me to literally swing right as the pitcher is releasing the pitch. Are they going to do squat about this? I cant believe that out of the 3 teams Ive played as, Ive found the only 2 in the entire league that have this problem. At this rate I will need to play as a team that doesnt have a lot of fans in view behind home plate, as well as a team that doesnt have a lot of fans visible in centerfield and I imagine this will be rather difficult to accomplish. I swear, the constant lack of garbage making it into the game with this company is driving me nuts. This entire 3 year plan better be impressive once its completed because they have built the hype so high, thanks to all the garbage left in the game and put on the backburner for next year, that everyone will destroy them if the 3 year plan is over and the same bugs etc. are still in the game.

                        I've played as the Cubs.....choppy

                        Dodgers... choppy

Brewers seemed fine...until I had to play in the stadiums from the teams above. On my system it just depends on the stadium. It was choppy in Baltimore, and in Philly for me as well. So you know what... I give up.

I've bought the Show 07. Guess what...choppy on the transitioning to the fielding view....but not unbearable for me. Overall a much better game IMO so I don't mind as much since its never forced me to mess up a play...or swing early, or screw up my pitching as 2k7 did. I'm having loads of fun with this game. I'll be getting the PS3 version of The Show hoping the Franchise bug is fixded with the trades. But I mostly do roster management so don't mind as much.
