Re: How do you railroad the catcher?
I think its a canned animation(s) and the CPU will decide if your player will do it. But just for good measure i press down when i get close and its happened three or four times. I rounded third with Reyes yesterday and tried to railroad Carlos Ruiz and got laid flat on my arse. It was funny considering that Reyes is a lightweight in real life...When you see it...you'll know what it is... -
Re: How do you railroad the catcher?
From my experiences, you just don't press any button. If you pull/push one way on the analog stick, it will slide that way. By just letting him run without pressing anything he mauls the catcher over. That has worked 2-3 times for me though. Not sure if that is the way you are supposed to do it though.Comment

Re: How do you railroad the catcher?
Both of my times have been in GM Mode with my user-drafted team. Both times it was Jose Reyes on Jason Varitek -- same series (Games 1 and 3). Doesn't sound too realistic, I couldn't believe it either, Varitek is huge, Reyes is a smaller faster guy. But never the less Reyes lowered his shoulder and the ball went flying behind home plate. It was actually realistic though, as the pitcher was backing up home plate, had to go retrieve the ball and throw it to third, as I had another guy trying to advance.Comment
