Drafted or traded "RP" pitchers on the depth chart?

I've been messing around in GM mode, using dkrause's rosters and have noticed that whenever I draft, sign, or trade for a regular relief pitcher (position says "RP", not "MR", "SU", etc) that I can't get them to appear on the depth chart. They are in the bullpen if I play the game, but I like to manage and sim and really want them to show up.

One example is Kerry Wood, if I trade for him I can't use him since he doesn't appear on the Pitching Rotation screen.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated. I tried to edit the player but as far as I can see I can only change his position (a fielder or a pitcher...not his role).

    Thanks!

Have you tried moving players around in the pitching rotation screen? Sometimes players get stuck behind other players and you cant see them until you move someone, if that makes sense. For instance, if all your LR positions are occupied, try moving one of them to MR and see if Wood appears then, and try this for all positions and he should appear.

I tried that and it works if say I have two closers...for the guys listed as just RP's though, they still don't appear.

Get the CPU to reorder the rotation, then manually edit.

I just ran into a problem similar to this as well, I traded for Will Ohman of the Cubs and no matter what I do he wont show up at all. Ive tried moving players around, Ive tried letting the CPU reorder my rotation and what makes it stranger is the fact that he is listed as a LR not just a MR. He isnt listed so I can premote him from the minors but when I look at my roster it shows him as being in AA, clicking on him and then clicking on premote/demote doesnt accomplish anything either. The only thing I can do is trade him again, these are the type of things that baffle me about 2k, they can get so many things right but then screw something up as trivial as this. All ideas are welcome at this point since I have a player I cant even use.

You can not get RP's to ever work, this glitch was in last years version also. They are no where to be found on your roster, so never sign/draft/trade for RP's because they are a waste.

Thats just it, I didnt trade for a "RP", he was actually listed as a "LR" and therefor this problem shouldnt happen. Its really weird, Ive altered the trade so it was only him and he still vanishes and cant be used at all, its the strangest thing Ive seen in awhile.

I have the same problem, and I've had it for a while. I don't think there is a fix. Just gotta trade the guy.

They don't show up on the Rotation screen, but if you go into a game and play it, they are available in your bullpen.

Also, if you sim, those players still get stats.
