Just got this game for 360 and I am enjoying it a lot. Are there any known problems/bugs in Franchise mode that I should know about? Thanks guys.

60 day DL bug: when someone gets on the 60 day DL, even when they come off, they'll be stuck in the minors forever unless you move them via Force Trade.
Walk = No ER bug: when you or the CPU walks someone and the walked runner scores, it doesn't count as an ER.
Lack of notification of trades bug: its hard to find out any league news in Franchise mode.
Just these off the top of my head. There's also the stupid trade bug (ie. the CPU makes ******** trades that would make no sense to you), but you can fix that by turning Trades Off. (You can still trade with Trades off, btw.) And there's also the lineup bug, which sometimes has the best hitter batting leadoff, etc.XBox 360 GT: XFactor416 -

To see league news: Check your e-mail. Go to one of the "Star player injured" e-mails. On the bottom, it says something like "LB: League News" Press LB and you can see all trades, injuries, etc in the leagueComment

So, if I have a player that gets injured for a long period of time, I should just put him on the 15 DL and repeat right?Comment

The bug has no effect on your roster, if a guy gets put on the 60-Day DL by you, you can still put him back on the active roster once his DL time is up. The bug only affects the CPU and their rosters management.Comment

play with injuries and trades on..........once a player gets injured you can access the league news through that email. Pain, but it works...............What I do, I check the league news after every game. If there is a bone headed trade, I just play that game over. Fortunately, a month and a half into my season and no stupid trades. None at all actually.

Please excuse my apparent stupidity.
But, how exactly do you check your e-mail? I notice that it's not quite like the CHoops games.Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!

Its under one of the menus across the top of the page when you are in franchise/season mode. Can't remember which one, think its the "GM" one.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

I assume that franchise mode is nearly the same as GM mode other then the goals that the owner gives you when playing in GM mode? If so, one big thing thats annoying is the offseason roster management, so many players being released and some of them make little sense at all. The list I have is huge but just to throw out a few big names, Bill Hall, Andruw Jones, Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Dontrelle Willis and Scott Kazmir just to name a few. Out of all of those, only Willis and Kazmir make sense to some degree considering the horrible salary constraints on both Florida and Tampa, even though I would like to think they would attempt to trade them to get something for them while they could. The players that boggle my mind are Howard, Utley and Jones, all players were happy minus wanting a new contract and now they are just released, hell, the Phillies released Garcia, Lieber, Utley, Howard and Rowand, Im not even sure how they will field a team next year if they dont do some heavy signing in the offseason.Comment

Andruw Jones makes sense too. Plenty of talk about this possibly being his last season in Atl.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Jones ended up signing with Detroit in the offseason. Utley signed with the Mets, Howard with Atlanta, Bill Hall with SD and Dontrelle and Kazmir both signed with me. I wanted to bolster my rotation and certainly accomplished that. I just wish some teams would take other variables into consideration when releasing or trading players, the trade logic is somewhat decent if you only trade when they have atleast 90% interest but they still make some dumb choices, ie. King Felix, Vidro and Sexson for Nomar, Schmidt and Kazmir.Comment
