Disk stops reading..

Just started an M's chise today and all was going well (2-1 in opening series against Oakland), and then, when I was getting ready to play Cleveland in my first away game, the game locked up. It got past choosing my uni and lineup, and it froze at the loading screen.

Since then, I've tried numerous times to get it to work but without fail it stalls at the loading screen. I can sim games but can't play them. Frustrating.

So, does anyone have an idea what the hell the problem is? Anyone had this before? Any way to get it to work again?

Hopefully I can get it to work again, because I really don't feel like starting over, even though I've only played 3 games.

Help appreciated.

Try using a cd cleaner, I use mine every monday, and I've never had any problems with any games yet. I've had my 360 for almost a year and a half now and maybe 2 freezes ever, both on Oblivion. Never for MLB2k7. It's worth a shot, have you downloaded anything since the last time you played?
