OK, somebody explain the batter's eye feature with classic hitting to me...

So I am using Professional's touted slider set, but the main problem is that I see some discrepancies when using the hitter's eye and the classic control.

What I mean is that it seems as though the hitter's eye/whitish circle does not always seem to show up where I had moved it to on the swing. The ball will be low and away, I will move the left stick low and away, but after I swing and miss at the pitch (swinging using the button, that is) the hitter's eye circle will be nowhere near where I thought I had moved it.

    Help?

You have to hold the left stick in place until the pitcher starts his wind-up.

The hitter's eye is only used to show you the pitch location. As the previous person said you have to hold it there until the pitcher starts his movement toward the plate.

However, i hope you're not confusing what i meant by using the left analog stick to "aim your swing" with the hitter's eye. As the two are completely different.

        OK, so please assist further...

The hitter's eye just shows you where the ball ends up (as in it is the ball at the end of the pitch)?

So the hitter's eye, being the white blotchy circle is just to kind of get your hitter geared toward swinging in that general area? So after the pitcher starts his windup, you then move the left stick to where the ball is going in order to aim your swing, correct?

Basically, the hitter's eye is to improve your contact prospects re: location, and the aiming of your swing is where you move the bat to the ball after the windup begins?

The hitter's eye simply tells you if you guessed the location correctly. It has nothing to do with 'aiming' in order to hit the ball better. It shows you if the pitch is a strike or ball, making it easy to decide if you want to swing.

You use the stick post-windup if you're interested in hitting the ball in a specific direction. If you want to hit a fly ball, push up; groundball, push down, etc. But it has nothing to do with 'aiming' in order to make better contact ala zone hitting. There is no zone hitting in the game. It's timed hitting, plus using the stick to influence hit direction.

Yes, the "Hitter's Eye" reveals the location of the pitch that's it.

Again, it has nothing to do with (what i'm suggesting to do with my settings) using moving the left analog stick (and then holding it there) toward the pitch location and then swinging.

Oh I gotcha. So what does the hitter's eye actually look like, and what on earth is that white blotchy circle-shaped cursor?

The white circle is the hitter's eye. If you guessed location correctly, you'll see it and a highlighted baseball, just before the pitch arrives.

The Hitter's Eye is that translucent white circle that you're talking about.

If the whole thing is confusing you, you can just go to options and turn it off.

No man, I'm completely with you, and everyone is GREATLY helpful here!!!

                    2 questions now:

                    1) Pro, on your sliders is it possible that the CPU needs some stealing adjustments? I was 2/2 throwing out runners with Gerald Laird of the Rangers in my first game, and each time I threw the attempting stealers out by a mile.

                    2) If I turn off injuries after somebody big gets injured so I can review league news, will the injured players return to their rosters as normal?
