    Pitches need refinement. The game should be set up to punish high curveballs, splitters, etc. Those pitches don't get thrown high because they hang and get launched. If I go online I'm going to invariably bump into some idiot who just keeps throwing curves high in the zone. They should be launchable since they should basically look like a letter high droopy 80 mph toss. When they're properly placed low they should be even harder to hit though - and I would say that all pitches should be a lot harder to control. Watch a game any time and see how often most pitches actually hit the catcher's target.

      ASB 05 did this well. A breaking pitch could start in the upper half of the zone and drop into the lower half, especially with the better pitchers. But breaking pitches that were thrown out of the zone high just sort of hung up there with very little movement.
