360 Version: What is the verdict with custom stadium music?

I spent the last 30 minutes or so going through old posts about custom music, but I never saw a definate answer.

I understand that you cannot have custom player specific songs for batter intro's and what not. While this really sucks, I am aware of this.

But, can you have your custom playlist play at all during the game? I'm not talking about going to the 360 and having it play your custom music instead of the game music, but I'm talking about going ot the soundtrack mode and having it play your music for the solo HR instead of the songs on game. Or your songs for inbetween innings instead of the the songs of the game?
I get my music to play on the menu's, but as soon as I go into the game, there is no music at all.

**So far, I have gone to the soundtracks and went to "All Teams" and turned off every song for every situation (pretty easy to do). Then I went to 2K Beats and turned off all of the songs there, I pressed the R trigger and was able to bring in my saved playlist and selected it.

I also went to one certain stadium and turned off all of their songs for every situation.

I then went and played a game at that certain stadium and there was no music at all. I went to the in game presentation menu and went to stadium music and changed it between "All Stadiums" and "Stadium Specific" and still heard nothing. I through fastballs down the middle to get a HR and when they hit a HR, there was no music. When the innings ended, there was no music.
Is there a way to make my songs play when I'm in the stadium. While I don't mind the music the put in the game, i don't want to hear the same 20 or so songs every game for 162+ games. And if it only works in the menu's, then what's the point? Unless your doing some major edits to a team or players, then probably 90-95% of your time is spent in game.

At this point, I don't even care what song plays in what situation, it would just be nice to add a little variety to the presentation. .

    Any help would be appreciated.

yes you can when youre going through the menus. What you have to do is create a playlist on your 360. Then you go into custom beats or something turn off the songs that normally play and turn your music on and there you go it should work.

you can play your playlist in any game of the 360 if I am not mistaken.. just open your profile menu and press play on the media player

Re: 360 Version: What is the verdict with custom stadium music?

Yeah, I understand that, but then it plays constantly. It plays when your at bat, plays when your pitching, plays in the middle of every play.

That's not what I'm looking for.

Basically, I want my playlist to replace the games playlist in the sense that when a certain situation or play results in the cue-ing of a song, I want it to cue my songs.

On the stadium beats, you can choose which song you want to play after a solo HR, or during a pitching change or in between innings. The thing is you can only choose from the songs that are on the games soundtrack. Instead, I want my songs to play. So instead of 311's down playing every game for 162 games, I want to hear something from my collection.

As of right now, when you change the menu, you lose all music in the game and only your music plays on the menu's. I'm hoping for what I described.

If it's not possible, then why the hell even let the user add music. How much time does a person spend on menu's that the development team decided that it needed to be able to play custom songs, but then not allow them in-game.

No, this is not supported. 2KBeats is just the menu music. Custom Player Beats and Stadium Beats are not supported on the 360 (although they are on the original Xbox).

If I'm not mistaken, this is because of the way the 360 handles their playlists and ripped music different than Xbox. However, NHL had some limited functionality in this regard, so my guess would be that MLB will have it next year.

How can they not be supported, yet be included in the menu? That's a bit misleading on 2k's part....

2K constantly misleads with regards to the content in their games. Last year, they stated the custom music feature would be included in MLB 2K6. What they DIDN'T clarify is that the feature would only be available in the last-gen version, and not MLB 2K6 next-gen.

Another bit of tricky business from MLB 2K6: when they released vids before the game came out, all they showed were players like Damon and Jeter batting. Then the game came out and there was an uproar over the player models. Players like Big Papi were the same size as everyone else, because there was no body scaling in the game. Cheap.

If you download songs directly to your Xbox (not using WMP), you can have custom batter intros for your created players. The music will randomly select, you can't choose the tunes.

I haven't been able to play custom music as stadium music, though.

No it doesnt seem to work. NHL 2k7 though i tried it on and it was great. After a goal it played my metal music and when they were coming out it played hip hop and stuff. It was really cool.

Notice that CUSTOM Stadium Beats are not supported meaning that you can't use ripped music.

However, the game does allow you to change the in-game stadium music. You are just limited to the music that is already there.

                        Yes I have noticed this.
When Josh Hamilton bats for the Reds at home it plays a random song that I have saved on my 360.
He is a created player so I guess you are right.
It is pretty cool too bad it only works on created players.
